Metropolis

Fritz Lang / DEUZE, 1927

Fritz Lang’s magnum opus is also known as 'the mother of all science fiction films'. The fiendishly seductive robot Maria incites the factory workers of a futuristic metropolis to rise up, but they are only pushed to the verge of destruction. The robot in Metropolis is one of the first female cyborgs in film history.
