When her parents split up and her father Kenichi leaves the family home, twelve-year-old Renko (Tomoko Tabata) is left alone in Kyoto with her mother Nazuna. While Nazuna draws up new rules for their life together, Renko makes her own plans. All the changes taking place within the family will have to meet her conditions.
