In an unforgettable shot, the traumatized Suzanne faints beautifully before a bright white film screen. Suzanne – played by top actress Suzanne Grandais – is an amnesia victim who is reduced to a catatonic state following a traumatic experience that was caused by a shooting incident on the rugged Breton coast. Suzanne”s cousin, who is in love with her, tried to shoot her fiancé.Professor Williams decides to treat Suzanne with a “new cinematographic psychotherapy”. They re-enact the episode and record the traumatic experience on film, which is then shown to the patient. Seeing the fim proves to be a healing experience.Grandais sparkles in this short film by director Léonce Perret, who himself plays the male lead role.Live musical accompaniment by Ensemble Lumaka: Miriam Overlach (harp), Jana Machalett (flute) and Martina Forni (viola).
