A family presentation by Hakim Traidia about the legendary Nasreddin Hodja: full of tales, wisdom, witticisms, dirty tricks, deception, justice and intelligence featuring footage from Eye’s collection.
Although less well known in the Netherlands, Nasreddin Hodja is a legend in the Middle East, Asia and the Balkans, but also in Scandinavia and Germany. Since 1250, during Nasreddin’s lifetime right the way through until today, a few hundred stories are told about him. About his wisdom, dirty tricks, justice, deception, witticism and intelligence which, except for entertainment, are also used to indirectly tell people the truth just as clearly as Nasreddin Hodja would have done.
