New Dutch 1: Adaptive Worlds

Cinedans 2026: New Dutch 1: Adaptive Worlds

In a world full of codes and regulations, how do we choose to adapt?

poster Cinedans Festival 2026

Trapped in monotony, facing inner struggles with criticism and fears of genuine self-expression, these short Dutch films by predominantly young makers reflect a loss of connection. From personal constraint to conflicting perspectives on environmental pollution, the works push back against an increasing demand for structure and control.

Dance film in the Netherlands continues to thrive! Featuring premieres alongside notable recent works, we invite you to discover the diversity and creative momentum of the Dutch scene in motion.

The program is accompanied by a Q&A with the makers present.
