Opening Film Noir: In a Lonely Place
Opening
Festive opening of Film Noir featuring cartoons, film clips, spoken-word artist Kevin Groen and, as the main film, In a Lonely Place. Known as one of the best films of the 1950s it stars Humphrey Bogart in a surprisingly vulnerable role.

A talented but down-on-his-luck screenwriter with a bad temper – Humphrey Bogart in a strikingly vulnerable role – is the prime suspect of a cruel murder committed in Hollywood. The only person able to give him an alibi is a seductive neighbour (Gloria Grahame) with a troubled past of her own.
