Practices of Mending
Cinedans 2026: Practices of Mending
In this duo of short documentaries, choreographer and director Juliette Roudet returns to Corsica to uncover what happened within her estranged family, while Maïmouna Coulibaly, a French-Malian dance artist, recounts her abusive past leading to the creation of her Booty Therapy dance course.

Oscillating between tenderness, pain and empowerment, both films exemplify how dance can become a practice of mending, opening pathways for overcoming trauma and radical healing.
