Rocks

Sarah Gavron / GB, 2019 / 93 min.

Shola is 16 years old. One day she finds a note from her mother: ‘I’ve gone off, I need to clear my head’, leaving the British-Nigerian teen to fend for herself and look after her 7-year-old brother Emmanuel. Rocks is an energetic story about growing up in East London, where the multicultural society is a reality and mutual support vital.
