Intimate, visually impressive drama in which a young Spanish woman tries to reconstruct the fragmented, and often contradictory memories of her deceased parents. Old wounds are re-opened whilst visiting her family in Galicia.
Marina (Llúcia Garcia) is 18 and was orphaned young. To collect a signature required for a grant, she travels to Spain’s Atlantic coast, to her father’s grandparents whom she has never met. There she becomes entangled with aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces never knowing whether she is welcome or not. Buried emotions are unearthed. Nevertheless, something akin to tenderness also develops.
