Celebrating Eye's tenth anniversary of inviting students to curate research based programs, it is time to contemplate on the venue itself: the (film) theatre as unique space where creators interact with an audience.

The eyes of the audience are used to a crisp, segurated look. We consume images alone or collectively in a space which is dedicated to the flexible craft, or in private caves. The audience is blessed or cursed by the shown visuals taken away into a shelter of imagination and conflict.
Immersed in the play
When we watch a film on Netflix we don’t pay attention to how the story is told in a formal way. We are immersed in the play. The play plays itself upon us; we are the platform which is distilling moments, phrases and habits into our forever after. Our daily life consists of reenacted fragments. We all actually play our favorite visual scenes. We are passing our collective visual archive by being present. Or not?
