Cinedans 2026: Short Docs 1: Soft Confrontations
A program that highlights the power of vulnerability and an ingenious and gentle approach to confronting some of the most important issues of our time.

A group of factory workers resists by slowing down their production movements, elderly residents reconcile with old age through dance, an old man confronts the colonial past in a deforested rubber estate, and women face ancestral trauma and gender inequality by embracing nature.
For the first time, Cinedans presents the International Short Docs Competition. Addressing some of the most pressing matters of our times. 12 films from 11 countries use the moving body to bring urgency, reflection and emotional immediacy to the big screen.
The program is accompanied by a Q&A with the makers present.
