Cinedans 2026: Shorts 1: Internal Transits
This selection of films explores the space between nature and civilization, between scars from the past and attempts to claim the future. It foregrounds a search for identity, change, and mourning, in which the moving body expresses inner urgency and the capacity for healing.

Stories of migratory birds, spirits, and female power unfold against histories of colonization, alongside encounters between Carl Jung and Yoruba culture. Across these works emerge journeys of self-discovery, transformation, and mourning, where bodies in motion carry inner urgencies and the potential for healing.
The International Short Film Competition brings together the best and most recent dance films from around the world, with 29 films from 26 countries competing for the Cinedans Jury Award and the Cinedans Encouragement Award.
The program is accompanied by a Q&A with the makers present.
