Shorts 3: Family Matters

Cinedans 2026: Shorts 3: Family Matters

Family bonds are an intrinsic part of life, shaped by complexity and contradiction.

poster Cinedans Festival 2026

The loss of a sister, a toxic husband, and a strained relationship between a father and a daughter appear in this program, only to be juxtaposed with carnival celebrations, dream states that remind us the strength of our heritage and a humorous view of the banality of everyday family life.

The International Short Film Competition brings together the best and most recent dance films from around the world, with 29 films from 26 countries competing for the Cinedans Jury Award and the Cinedans Encouragement Award.

The program is accompanied by a Q&A with the makers present.
