Shorts 4: Interventions
Cinedans 2026: Shorts 4: Interventions
Confronting systems and politics, heteropatriarchy, the absurdity of life, shame and the gaze of others, these films present personal and collective acts of intervention that seek solidarity and a renewed sense of freedom.

Moving from emotional limbo after social suppression to unsettling twerking, deliberate acts of failure and chaotic climaxes, the screen becomes a space for narratives of resistance that are both disruptive and empowering.
The International Short Film Competition brings together the best and most recent dance films from around the world, with 29 films from 26 countries competing for the Cinedans Jury Award and the Cinedans Encouragement Award.
The program is accompanied by a Q&A with the makers present.
