A groundbreaking film in the espionage genre. This Cinema Concert is a collaboration between EYE and the Utrecht School of the Arts. HKU students of the Media and Sound Design programmes provided a new score for this film, which will be performed live by the Keuris Ensemble under the direction of Henry Kelder.

Fritz Lang”s seminal masterpiece Spione is full of colourful characters: a policeman who has infiltrated the underworld, a Machiavellian criminal, an officer secretly working for the enemy, a magnanimous Russian lady spy and an Asian agent in the clutches of a temptress. Their paths cross in a head-spinning tumble of events.
