Tsai Ming-liang again manages to find poetry in tragedy and hope amongst the ruins. Stray Dogs is a family drama about a destitute father and his son and daughter, who live rough. The father earns a meagre income by holding up a real estate placard at a traffic intersection. Winner of the Grand Special Jury Prize at Venice.
