Szürkület
György Fehér / HU, 1990 / 105 min.
A detective investigates a murder in the woods using bait. In this engrossing black & white film by Hungarian György Fehér the detective is also morally conflicted. Adapted from the novel by Friedrich Dürrenmatt. Digital restoration.

A young girl is found molested and murdered in remote woodlands near the mountains. A travelling salesman with a record is the suspect, however the detective doesn’t believe he did it. The latter finds a drawing made by the little girl featuring a black ‘giant’, presumably the true culprit. In the hope of catching the murder, the detective installs a mother and her young daughter in a deserted petrol station – as bait.
