Szürkület (Twilight)
György Fehér / HU, 1990 / 105 min.
A detective attempts to solve a woodland murder using bait. In this intense black & white film by Hungarian György Fehér, the detective also strays into morally ambiguous areas. Based on Swiss author Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s thriller novel. Digitally restored.

A young girl is raped and killed in a remote mountain forest. A travelling salesman with a criminal record is the main suspect, but the detective in charge doesn’t believe he did it. He discovers one of the deceased girl’s drawings featuring a black ‘giant’, presumably the real killer. He sets up a mother and her young daughter as bait in an abandoned petrol station.
