The entire “Looking for America” programme does not feature a single president – except on election night at November 8th. EYE presents a live magazine which features a roundtable discussion about American presidents in film and on television. The panel will be chaired by Chris Keulemans. In addition to various speakers (among them Gawie Keijser and Jaap Kooijman) and music (The Dawn Brothers), expect an evening that is interspersed with fragments from films that feature American presidents. How are they depicted in films? Paternal, combative, corrupt – there”s even a vampire killer among them.
