The Chase
WWII veteran Chuck Scott is hired as the personal driver of a hardened gangster in this rediscovered thriller with surrealist influences. Based on Cornell Woolrich’s pulp novel, The Chase proves to be an unlikely foreshadowing of David Lynch’s Lost Highway.
Restoration: UCLA Film & Television Archive, funded by The Film Foundation and the Franco-American Cultural Fund, a once-off partnership of Directors Guild of America (DGA), Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique (SACEM) and Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW).
