The Human Voice
Pedro Almodóvar / ES, 2020 / 30 min.
A short film by Pedro Almodóvar based on the play by Jean Cocteau, starring Tilda Swinton in the lead role. A woman is waiting for her ex-lover to collect his stuff. Then the phone rings. A compelling story about the torments of love.

The colours are familiarly bright and sprightly, the production design and the score (Albert Iglesias) all work to create that typical Almodóvar film. The acclaimed director once more takes us through the whole gamut of passion in his first short film since Salomé (1978).
