The Wayward Cloud

Ming-Liang Tsai / FR, TW, 2005 / 114 min.

Dutch film magazine De Filmkrant called Tsai’s depiction of love in barren times a ‘sadly comical science fiction porn musical’. There is a severe water shortage in Taiwan and in Taipei the only juice comes from watermelons. Tsai Ming-liang’s regular actors  Lee Kang-sheng and Shian-chyi Chen are two lovers trying to find each other.
