Three
Aleksandar Petrovic / YUCS, 1965 / 79 min.
This masterful three-part film psychologically portrays ordinary humans undergoing World War Two in Yugoslavia. Miloš, a partisan is confronted by death on three separate occasions. Three reveals the complete madness and absurdity of war.

This powerful anti-war film shows what morally confusing situations do to a human. In part one, a student witnesses the murder of an innocent man and in part two, a duo of partisans play a game of cat and mouse with the German soldiers hunting them in the mountains, whilst in part three, an officer meets a condemned woman.
Restored in 2019 at Delta Video laboratory, from a 35mm negative print preserved by Jugoslovenska Kinoteka.
