Changes – Tilda Swinton Oeuvre Talk
Changes: Tilda Swinton Oeuvre Talk
Iconic actress Tilda Swinton conducts an in-depth discussion of her oeuvre, covering her unique style and way of working. She will show how her collaborations with various people from the world of film have given her insights into what film is, and what it can be.

Creating the exhibition Tilda Swinton – Ongoing in Eye is a significant part of the conversation: what choices did Tilda Swinton face when she was invited to translate a 39-year career for the exhibition space?
Swinton also talks about the importance of her roots in Scotland and her love of Scottish nature. She compares her career to the growth of the trees in the garden of her castle: their roots lie with Derek Jarman and Joanna Hogg, from there sprouting a sturdy trunk and branches that stand for all the inspirational collaborations that followed. The resulting films are the fruit that we, the audiences, pluck and share.
Moderator Jefferson Hack is a broadcaster, curator and the co-founder of Dazed Media. Its portfolio of global brands includes Dazed, AnOther Magazine and Nowness. Most recently, he launched Where It’s At, a podcast channel featuring in-depth conversations with revolutionary figures in culture and science. In October, he is curating a major video art exhibition at 180 Strand, London, called Paradigm Shift.
The presentation begins with a short showreel of Swinton's work edited by Daniel Dalton.
