From her very first dance steps we follow TuTu”s ups-and-downs in a time of momentous change: the years between the two world wars. Dance underwent major changes in those days, driven by the urge for personal freedom and by rapid modernization – factories, trains, airplanes, cars, film! – and inspired by other cultures – Africa! Dance is the perfect vehicle to show just how fast TuTu”s life changes.The actors and musicians of Lichtbende conjure up this engrossing and rythmic dance story on the big screen by means of projected images, live music and dance.
