Vincent Tilanus studied at The European Film College in Denmark. His graduation film Disingenuous (2014) was selected for the BUSTER Copenhagen International Film Festival. Tilanus experimented with poetic narrative forms (Windkracht, 2016) and a raw documentary style (JUNKSKE, 2017).
Daniël Kolf followed theater courses in Arnhem and Amsterdam; Kolf, born in Suriname, came to the Netherlands in 2015. He gained great fame for his play in De Libi (2019) by director Shady El Hamus.
