Kees Hin made a portrait of De Volharding (The Perseverance Orchestra), a Dutch music ensemble founded in 1972. These were the turbulent 1970s, when musicians tried to tune into changes taking place in society. EYE is paying tribute to Hin with a retrospective of his wide-ranging oeuvre – the Amsterdam filmmaker shot his first documentary fifty years ago.
