For many years, two couples have shared a holiday home in the Austrian Alps. When their young teenage daughters are involved in an accident while they are holidaying there together, what seemed like a close friendship between the couples quickly begins to unravel. Old resentments and suppressed frustration drive the two sets of parents even further apart when they are told that one girl can be saved – but only if the other is sacrificed.
