A sensitive documentary film about the melancholy life of a seventy-year-old woman longing for her deceased daughter and husband. The director, Katsumi Sakaguchi, followed his mother for more than four years. The film is screened as part of EYE’s Japan programme – a retrospective of 90 years of Japanese cinema –  running until December this year.
