Chiara Guerrasio is celebrating her sister’s eighteenth birthday with the whole family, friends and acquaintances. The day after the festivities her father Claudio’s car explodes, and Claudio himself disappears without trace. Mother Carmela won’t speak about it: “It’s better that a girl doesn’t know everything.” Chiara sets off to find out for herself and discovers the truth behind the Guerrasio family’s wealth in the provincial town of Gioia Tauro.
