Badlands compilation programme
They come from art school and the film academy or are self-taught and tell stories about identity, friendship and memories. Short films from five up-and-coming talents who express themselves in different ways: from the slightly surreal and tragicomic to empathetic realism.
The second part of the Badlands compilation programme takes us from an escape drama to Keesje’s escapades; there’s a lot of suppressed emotion in animated films, and a man reminisces about his participation in the colonial war against Ethiopia.
