Chalkroom
Laurie Anderson, Hsin-Chien Huang / US, TW, 2017 / 35 min.
Chalkroom is a virtual reality work by Laurie Anderson and Hsin-Chien Huang in which the reader flies through an enormous structure made of words, drawings and stories on chalkboard walls. Once you enter, you are free to roam and fly. Words sail through the air. They fall into dust. They form and reform. Chalkroom is the winner of the Best VR Experience at the Venice Film Festival.

The VR experience lasts 15 minutes, tickets are sold in one-hour slots. The visitors are brought in in order of arrival. In the meantime, you can watch the film Hidden Inside Mountains by Laurie Anderson.
During the first week of the VR installation's run, Laurie Anderson will give an artist talk. Eye will also show Heart of a Dog and Home of the Brave: A Film by Laurie Anderson.

Extended Reality in Eye
Virtual Reality productions are an increasingly important element of the contemporary film experience. Eye has created Virtual Reality in Eye, a programme that focuses on VR. You’re not confronted with the flat surface of a film screen. You move around virtually in 3D through a designed space that surrounds and immerses you on all sides.
