The Forgotten Battle
Matthijs van Heijningen / NL, 2020 / 124 min.
A visually spectacular and magnificent film about the Battle of the Scheldt, known in military history as one of the fiercest and most decisive battles in Western Europe.
November 1944. Allied and German forces clash on the island of Walcheren in Zeeland. The paths of a young Dutchman fighting for the Germans, a lost British glider pilot and a local girl reluctantly drawn into the resistance cross each other. All three have to make crucial choices that impact on their own freedom and that of others.
