The Graduate
Mike Nichols / US, 1967 / 105 min.
In his Oscar-winning classic, Mike Nichols gives a satirical sketch of 1960s mores through the seduction of nerdy Benjamin by the much older Mrs. Robinson. Chosen by two Badlands talents: director of photography Sam du Pon and film composer Annelotte Coster.

Recently graduated Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) and the alcoholic Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft) drift aimlessly around in upper-middle-class circles where all that counts is outer show, cocktail parties and new cars; a life consumed by ennui. Within this world, Benjamin allows Mrs. Robinson to seduce him. But then her timid daughter also falls for him.
