Guillermo del Toro / US, 2017 / 123 min.
Modern fairy-tale monster film by Mexican horror master Del Toro. Elisa discovers a swamp creature from the Amazon at the laboratory. She is immediately fascinated by the aquaman and an odd, yet not impossible relationship develops between the two oddballs.

This visually entrancing romantic drama is set at a secret army base in the 1950s. There the FBI has imprisoned a water creature it captured in the Amazon which it subjects to cruel tests. The creature rages in anger and frustration in a tank of water.
