Romania, 1981. Ceausescu is in power, indoctrinating the Communist country using the national television broadcaster. Mugur Călinescu, a 16-year-old teen writes an alternate story on the walls: uppercase protests against the regime.
The texts demanded freedom, alluded to democratic developments in other socialist countries or simply implored the improvement of food provision. Mugur’s activities were logged in an extensive Secret Police (Securitate) file and the organisation observed, detained, questioned and ultimately destroyed him.
