10th Shortcutz Amsterdam Annual Award

We are beyond excited to announce that the T-E-N-T-H edition of the Shortcutz Amsterdam Annual Awards will happen on January 22nd, 2023, at Eye Filmmuseum. And this year’s edition shall be extra special!

At the ceremony, we celebrate the best of Dutch short film talents whose films are nominated by our Jury Team for our eleven Mr Zee awards. We will also screen the winning films in Best Film and Audience Award categories.

This year’s Jury Team includes producer Jan Harlan (The Shining); Director of Creative Talent Investment & Development for Netflix International Originals: Christopher Mack; manager Antonio D’Intino (Circle of Confusion); director Roel Reiné (Marvel’s Inhumans); actress Willeke van Ammelrooy (Antonia’s Line); director Eddy Terstall (Simon); Head of Drama NTR: Marina Blok; Eye senior programmer and head of acquisitions: René Wolf; actress Sigrid ten Napel (Penoza); and street-artist Laser 3.14.

To honour our late ambassador, board and jury member Rutger Hauer, we grant the Rutger Hauer Award to the person or institution who, like Rutger, has greatly impacted the next generation of Dutch filmmakers.

And there’s more! After the ceremony, there will be an after-party at Eye cafe. This party is open to everyone, and of course, we would love to see you on the dance floor.
