Programme

  • still Groeten uit Zonnemaire (Digna Sinke, NL 1972)

Groeten uit Zonnemaire (Digna Sinke, 1972, 22')

A young woman returns to the place of her childhood but cannot find what she is looking for. After the breakdown of her relationship, Rina tries to regroup while staying with her aunt on an island in Zeeland. The fixed rhythm of drinking coffee and tea and the passing of the bus does not bring the peace she is looking for. A lot has changed due to the island opening up. Her memories are so different from what she sees now.

  • still Lokroep (Reber Dosky, NL 2013)

    Lokroep (Reber Dosky, 2013, 25')

A film about the love for a people, a country and family as well as, beautifully off-hand, about the unbearable fate of Kurds in Turkey. After living in Istanbul for 20 years, Habib returns to his village of birth in the south-east of Turkey. There he lives the life of his ancestors with his new family. When his son arrives from the capital, he also wants him to adopt the traditional lifestyle, but the old and new perspectives clash.

  • still In Kropsdam is iedereen gelukkig (Joren Molter, NL 2016)

In Kropsdam is iedereen gelukkig (Joren Molter, 2016, 23')

Lammert wouldn’t hurt a fly. He lives in the village of Kropsdam in the province of Groningen in the Netherlands together with his fancy pigeons and his best friend Frieda. His quiet life is rudely disturbed when he is suspected of having a deal with the GreenNow energy company. Lammert hasn’t got a clue what it is all about though he does notice the whole village treating him differently now. Because in Kropsdam everyone is happy unless you are unlucky.
