The carefree holiday of celebrity couple Paul and Marianne on the sun-kissed Italian island of Pantelleria ends abruptly when a blast from the past pays a surprise visit.
Paul is a famous photographer, Marianne a celebrity rock star. The two are having a wonderful holiday on the idyllic Italian island of Pantelleria, until a couple of guests arrive unannounced. Harry, Marianne’s ex-lover, and his daughter Penelope pay Paul and Marianne a surprise visit. The unexpected visit releases a storm of jealousy and passion. Harry is an uninhibited hothead, the love between him and Marianne is not yet extinguished. While Penelope is making overtures to Paul, the surprise visit throws everybody into chaos.
