Africadelic Festival presents Benda Bilili!
Every year, Africadelic Festival selects a 35 mm film from Eye’s collection. This time around: the funny, moving Benda Bilili!, which follows the Congolese musicians of Staff Benda Bilili for five years.

Ricky dreams of making the group Staff Benda Bilili the best band in Kinshasa. The musicians roam the streets in their modified ‘Mad Max’ wheelchairs. They are the stars of the ghetto who Roger, a street kid would love to join. They try to survive by singing and dancing, escaping the suffering and danger of life on the streets, finding hope in their music.
