Marie-Lou (Efira) is the director of a home for the elderly in Paris, and an advocate of ‘Humanitude’ – a philosophy of care designed specially to deliver respectful care to elderly people with dementia or other needs. The owners of the home aren’t happy about this: they see care for the elderly as a profit-making enterprise, and some of the home’s overworked employees are also less than enthusiastic about Marie-Lou’s time-consuming approach.
