A girl carrying a big egg strides through a devastated world that can best be described as dystopian, mysterious, perhaps even post-apocalyptic. Time seems to stand still; a taciturn boy carrying a weapon joins the girl, and together they move through an unfathomable world.

This 4K-restored version was created under the supervision of Mamoru Oshii.
