A nature documentary narrator (Siân Phillips) decides to have her kidney stone studied which leads to a captivating tale of the world of stones from Palestinian stonemasons to British geologists and the inhabitants of the lava landscape on Fogo.
Stones are the most fundamental building blocks in this world, but also the most overlooked. When the fictitious nature documentary narrator, played by Siân Phillips starts investigating her kidney stones she decides to tell one last tale about the forgotten world of stones.
Preliminary film
Before Apple Cider Vinegar you will see the short film Het Topje van de Mont Blanc (7') by Mels van Zutphen from 2007. Two unknown mountain climbers bring the top of Mont Blanc back to its place of discovery. Of all the souvenirs one can take home from this famous mountain, this is perhaps the most coveted.
