A magical-realistic and affectionate family history from Curaçao, directed by the highly talented filmmaker Eché Janga. The strong and independent Kenza is determined to find her own way between the two extremes in her life: her rational father and her spiritual grandfather.
11-year-old Kenza, her father Ouira and grandad Weljo live at a wrecking yard in Curaçao’s interior. The two men are ach other’s opposites: Ouira is a straightforward, rational cop, whereas Weljo identifies with the indigenous inhabitants the island’s spirituality.
