Deep Dive - Bewustzijn in VR (360°)
Nu:Reality: Deep Dive - Bewustzijn in VR (360°)
Delve into your subconscious and inner experience in this selection of two unique 360° virtual reality experiences that take you on spiritual journeys: a visionary shamanic journey deep into the Amazon rainforest and a fluid animation in which the movement of air determines the narrative.

Programme

Ayahuasca – Kosmik Journey (Jan Kounen, 2019, 20')
A virtual reality experience that takes you on a journey through one of the most mysterious spiritual practices in the world – a shamanic ritual using ayahuasca in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Led by a Shipibo healer, the participant undergoes a visionary voyage guided by traditional chants (icaros), immersed in a world of spirits, serpents, and cosmic revelations.

Flow (Adriaan Lokman, 2019, 15')
Flow invites you to float with the wind on what seems at first glance, to be a day like any other, with its turbulence: a night in the life of a woman, painted by the ebb and flow of air currents. Smells, heat, breathing, natural and artificial gusts of wind, the air currents, affected by invisible presences, make the imperceptible perceptible. They reveal to us a series of events in which the woman – that we are invited to follow during her wanderings – takes part. They immerse us in a world entirely made of air.
When the storm calms down, and the woman wakes up from what turns out to have been a dream, the world is no longer the same. Flow is a Dutch production. The work won the Venice Immersive Special Jury Prize in 2023.
