Director Ali Asgari takes an acerbic, satirical look at the more absurd aspects of the Iranian censorship system. A fictitious filmmaker and his producer set out to get their latest film shown in that country, while trying to evade the censor.
Bahram is a forty-year-old filmmaker, and all of his works so far have been banned by the Iranian Ministry of Culture. When his latest film also hits the censorship wall, he reaches the end of his tether.

Prior to several screenings of Divine Comedy, you will see the award-winning English subtitled short film Over mij (15') from 2022 by Ali Asgari, director of Divine Comedy. 17-year-old Fatima is rushed to the hospital by her father. She has a secret that she can only tell the doctor. This secret could change her fate. Fatima must surrender her trust to a doctor to make a difficult decision between cultural tradition and medical ethics. What will the doctor say to her father?
