Sisters Anna and Charlotte are competing for attention from their capricious, ever more vulnerable mother. As her care needs escalate, the sisters are forced to live together in the parental home. Old conflicts are reignited and bizarre family secrets emerge – such as a mysterious urn full of ashes and a disturbing love for a donkey.
