Homage to Paul de Nooijer, who died on 12 December 2025, aged 82. Exit was the first feature film he made with his son Menno. A 50-year-old photographer remembers his first major solo exhibition during which he suffered from relationship issues and trauma from his youth.
Father and son De Nooijer both appear in their first joint feature film Exit. Menno plays the younger version of Theo (Paul), a 50-year-old photographer/artist reminiscing, in flashback, about his first major solo exhibition, a period during which he struggled with his ambitions and deciding which course to take.
