Play trailer

Wong Kar Wai / HK, 1995 / 99 min.

Hongkong in the 1950s: the lives of a contract killer, his ‘manager’ and a very peculiar ex-delinquent cross  in a stylistically stunning tale. Wong Kar Wai and cameraman Christopher Doyle take you into the city at night.

Killer is good at his job as a hitman. He is unemotional and effective, but there is always that nagging doubt: has he chosen the right career? Agent, his boss, is only interested in Killer’s handsomeness. She is smitten with him, but Killer makes no move. Then there are also the girl Punkie and the ex-delinquent, now entrepreneur, Ho, who has a customer approach all of his own.

Eye has re-released six films by Wong Kar Wai in collaboration with Cinéart. With the exception of The Hand, all films are restored in 4K.
