Urban life, crime, love and music are fused into an intoxicating mix in Hong Kong director Wong Kar Wai’s stylish films. Together with virtuoso cameraman Christopher Doyle, Wong Kar Wai immerses his audience in his lyrical and melancholy world with radical framing, slow motion, a deluge of music, heavy rainfalls and tragic love affairs.
Eye releases six films by Wong Kar Wai to Dutch theatres in partnership with Cinéart. Apart from The Hand, all films have been restored in 4K. We present In the Mood for Love, Chungking Express, Fallen Angels, Happy Together, 2046 and the director's cut of his short film The Hand.

4K digital restorations
Apart from The Hand, all films have been restored in 4K in partnership with the director, publisher Criterion Collection and the L’immagine ritrovato film laboratory in Bologna. The films are also screened nationwide.
